I started my consulting business 9 months ago full time thinking in a large city of millions of people there would be plenty of opportunities. However, come to the realisiation how wrong I was and have hit so many brick walls regardless of exhibiting at non-cyber conferences , going to many in-person and virtual business network meetings, obtaining marketing advice, revamped the website three times from scare mongering message to now how cyber security can add value to your business, and going hard with social media advertisements and blogs. It has been a bit of a disheartening journey but an interesting experience and will keep trying, but now looking at it as a side hustle.
