@stake, NetScreen, IBM, and military networks have been a powerful source of future founders and executives, and the degree to which they have shaped the present of the industry is hard to overstate
Thanks for writing this up. Foundstone was good days with good people. What is also interesting is the amount if us that have since taken money from IQT, who as you mention is headed up by Darby of former @Stake. It really is a small world !
Great stuff. Amongst the @stake alums, I'd also nominate my former colleagues Dave Goldsmith (Dave G), founder of Matasano and then senior at NCC Group; Ollie Whitehouse (senior @ NCC); Phil Huggins (now CISO for the UK’s NHS); Royal Hansen (Google CISO); Joel Wallenstrom (co-founder iSec Partners, now CEO Wickr); Frank Heidt (CEO Leviathan); Christina Luconi (CPO Rapid7); and of course, Dan Geer (chief scientist, In-Q-Tel, living legend etc). And it keeps going. I've had a decent career myself. @stake was a fabulous place to be from—a ridiculous constellation of talent in one place. And of course we had a ton of respect and a healthy rivalry with our friends at Foundstone.

Thanks Mark, the fact that you get to comment on this post is a yet another proof that it is indeed a very small world :)

This is a fantastic addition, thanks Andrew!
